Plane Pal is a custom designed inflatable travel pillow for kids that fills the space between your child's seat and the seat in front. Made from high quality nylon, Plane Pal is lightweight and compact. It comes with a pump for stress-free, easy inflation after take-off. This travel pillow for kids can also be used on trains, buses, and for car travel.

 

 

Plane Pal is not a toy. Use only under direct supervision. Do not use as a flotation device. Do not jump onto your travel pillow for kids. Take care to avoid sharp objects when you open, pack, store, and inflate it. Do not overinflate Plane Pal.

Clean your travel pillow for kids (Plane Pal) with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or machine wash or tumble dry. Do not use chemicals to clean it. Should your travel pillow for kids receive a puncture, discontinue use immediately.

 

 

Most airlines are happy to allow the safe use of Plane Pal as per our instructions:

• Plane Pal is to be used in the window seat or middle seat in the centre rows.
• Plane Pal is not to be used during take off or landing.
• The child's seatbelt remains fastened at all times (you can request an infant extender belt to help with this).

Aircrafts are private property and airlines ultimately decide what is/isn't allowed on their flights. However, of the airlines we have encountered, the good news is most are supportive of our mission 'to make travel luxurious for all families'. And we are adding new airline partners constantly!

How to Use Your Travel Pillow for Kids: Inflate and Deflate

Remember, Plane Pal cannot be used during take-off or landing because aisles and exits must remain clear. Always follow crew instructions. It is used where it will not obstruct other passengers. Always reserve your seating prior to travel.

 

Step 1:

After the captain turns off the seatbelt sign, unpack your Plane Pal and pump. Open the large valves fully and stretch out your travel pillow for kids. Fully expand the Plane Pal for faster inflation.

Ensure the smaller clear valves are open. Keep the larger black valves closed during inflation. They prevent air from escaping.

Step 2:

Place Plane Pal on the floor between your child’s seat and the seat in front. Use it upside down on budget airlines with limited space. Use it right-side up on airlines with more space. In bulkhead or bassinet rows, turn Plane Pal lengthways and use it right-side up.

Place valves on the aisle side for inflation access. Inflate fully to fill the gap. Do not squash it forcibly into place.

 

Step 3:

Connect the hose to the two-way pump. Attach the larger adaptor to the hose end. Ignore the pointy adaptor—it inflates pool toys, not Plane Pal.

 

Firmly plug the adaptor into the black valve on Plane Pal’s bottom section. Use two hands to pump. Inflate until firm but still comfortable. Repeat for the top section. Secure the clear valve plugs.

You are now ready for your child to recline and rest. Keep their seatbelt fastened for safety during turbulence. On long flights, you might need to top up air as cabin pressure changes cause contraction.

To Deflate

For safety, Plane Pal has rapid deflate valves. Pull open the large black valves and press the top. The travel pillow for kids deflates quickly in seconds. To pack, roll it from the end with no valves. Secure with the Velcro strap and place in the travel bag.

 

What does it come with?

If you order the full kit, you receive an inflatable pillow, pump, carry strap, and carry bag. The pillow-only option includes an inflatable pillow and carry strap.

Will Plane Pal fit all plane seats? Will it sit flush with the seat?

Plane Pal fits most economy airlines and standard bus and train seats. It has 3 sizes and can be used upright or upside down to fit between your child's seat and the seat in front. Usually, it sits flush with your child's seat.

Inflate it in place to adjust the fit for a snug, level comfort. You may use two Plane Pals for extra large areas. See Instagram for examples.


Who can use a Plane Pal?

It was designed for kids aged 2–8 to fully utilise it by extending their legs or lying flat. Adults tend to sit with legs crossed or to one side. Raising legs also improves adult comfort.

Can an infant (child under 2 years) use a Plane Pal?

If you purchase a seat for your infant, Plane Pal is effective when used correctly. Monitor toddlers closely to prevent them rolling off the seat or Plane Pal. Their seatbelt must stay fastened at all times for protection.

What are the dimensions and how much does it weigh?

Inflated, Plane Pal measures 57cm x 47cm x 37cm and weighs 900 grams (0.9 kg).

A deflated Plane Pal in its travel bag measures approx. 36cm x 17cm x 8cm (full kit dimensions). The hand pump measures 29cm x 9cm x 9cm, weighs 220 grams, and fits in the travel bag.

Plane Pal, pump, and bag weigh 1.3 kgs packaged together.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

Maximum weight capacity is 90 kg.

I have 2 or more kids how many Plane Pals should I buy?

A Plane Pal FULL KIT comes with a carry bag and pump for inflation during flights. You will need 1 Plane Pal per child but only one pump. The ‘Plane Pal Pillow’ is a lower-cost version that includes just the pillow. Carry both pillows in one bag with the pump inside your carry-on.

How do I inflate my Plane Pal?

Plane Pal comes with a pump. You can inflate manually by blowing it up. You may need to top up air due to changing cabin pressure. Plane Pal handles expansion well but contraction may require inflation.

How long does it take to inflate and deflate?

Inflation takes 2-3 minutes; deflation takes about 3 seconds.

Can I inflate my Plane Pal without the pump- My pump makes a whistling noise?

Yes, blowing up manually works. The pump tube makes a whistle but aircraft engine noise masks it. Pumping slowly reduces sound.

How do I look after my Plane Pal?

Store your travel pillow for kids in a cool dry place. Wipe clean with mild soap and water. Avoid washing machine or water submersion. Protect from sharp objects and heat. Inspect before travel and practice inflation to ensure good condition.

 

6 MONTH PRODUCT WARRANTY LIMITED WARRANTY CONDITIONS

1. All Plane Pal products have a 6 (six) month warranty from purchase subject to terms.

2. Repair or replacement at Plan Pal Asia’s discretion if found faulty within warranty.

3. Warranty applies only to products sold by planepal.sg and authorised dealers.

4. Proof of purchase is required for warranty.

5. Warranty applies only if used as per manufacturer instructions and reasonable care.

6. Warranty is not transferable.

7. Warranty excludes misuse, abnormal use, improper storage, neglect, abuse, accident, alterations, improper installation, punctures, and normal wear and tear.
